Description
Report Writing for Criminal
Justice Professionals is a comprehensive textbook that
recognizes that successful reports are the result of a
preliminary investigation, interpersonal communication
skills, and a well written narrative. Based on their
years of law enforcement and teaching experience the
authors have development a comprehensive textbook with
supplemental materials to help students learn the
preliminary investigation and report writing process.
Using any of the nine video scenarios available
on-line, students have the opportunity to immediately
use the skills they’ve learned. The Instructor
Material includes three additional scenarios for
testing. Students also have access to report form
templates that can be used to write computer generated
reports, or printed and used in class for handwritten
reports.

organizational development company whose team building
events have brought new levels of effectiveness to
organizations locally and internationally. His
professional background is diverse ranging from 15
years in manufacturing, 10 years as a business owner,
pubic and private education, and organizational
development consulting. A doctoral student at Fielding
Graduate University, Rick is studying leadership and
change dynamics as related to education.
Joseph N. Davis, MPA: Joseph N. Davis, MPA: Joe is a
retired Captain from the Orange County (CA) Sheriff
Department. He has taught report writing since 1983
and has authored several books on the topic. He is
also President of Davis & Associates in Laguna Niguel,
California. Founded in 1986, the goals of Davis &
Associates are to help private and public sector
organizations create safe and productive environments,
reduce workplace conflict, and prepare to manage
critical incidents.
